We examine how women entrepreneurs in the Marrakech-Safi region can gain better access to finance and markets (from local to international). Morocco has few women entrepreneurs, about 12.8%, and the main obstacles are access to adequate financing and attractive customers (both B2C and B2B). At the same time, the context in Morocco is very entrepreneurial and the country recently launched several initiatives to encourage and support entrepreneurship among women. This research is therefore not a minute too late as it seeks to better understand what women lack to act on these initiatives.
